Custom Orders

I love to make custom pieces for people when I have the time - check out my portfolio of past creations - if you see something you like then get in touch & I'll see what I can do. Please bear in mind that most of my pieces are one of a kind due to the limited availability of certain supplies. Prices will vary accoring to the complexity & marterials used
.

FAQ

I get a lot of people asking me the same questions and as a result I have to spend a lot of time repeating myself which delays my response to some other email. So to save everyone time I've answered some of the most common ones below.

  1. I want to make jewellery too - where do you buy your supplies?

Its a difficult one to answer because there is no one magical store that sells everything. After years of doing this I just know what to look for - I use bits of old toys, recycle old jewellery, cut up old shirts etc.. basically I spend a LOT of time scouring thrift stores, car boot sales, craft shops & of course ebay - a crafters paradise!

One tip I can offer when looking for jewellery basics (like earring wires, jump rings & chain) is to type in "findings" to ebay - that will get you started.

  2. How do you make your jewellery?

Again, another difficult one.. although I did a year of silversmithing at college, not many of those skills transfer to my current work - for the most part I'm completely self taught. Most of it is trial & error, the items you see on this site do NOT include my errors... of which there have been many! My advice is buy craft books, look for tutorials online & try it for yourself :) I've been making my own jewellery since my early teens & I'm still learning! Oh - and buy a drill!!

  3. Do you take commisions for your artwork?

Yes, unless your brief does not work well with my particular style - for instance if you want something very traditional like a landscape or portrait, I'm not the artist for you. However if you want something contemporary & uniquely personal - no matter how bizarre your ideas may be - then please do get in touch! In fact.. the more bizarre the better! Prices will vary according to size & time taken to complete.

  4. I don't get paid til next week/month can you put an item on hold for me?

No, I've had too many people say they want to buy something then never get back to me. Often this has caused me to lose out on someone else buying that item.

  5. I have an ebay store / selling journal / etsy.com store - can you add a link to me?

No - I want my links page to offer links to high quality, properly designed website based stores, if I add links to selling journals & ebay pages it startes to get confusing - not everyone has accounts in these places. If you wish to swap Ebay links, I'd be more than happy to add a link on my Ebay About Me page if you do the same.
